WMO says No to Racism!

Mixed Martial Arts also known as the supreme discipline of combat sports is getting more and more popular all over the world. Some Promotions try hard to put the focus on the respect, which the fighters give each other and the sporting aspects. Other Organizations try excessively to gain spectactors trough organized fights between fighters from different martial arts styles or trough characters which have got a big community. Everyone has got his strategy. We as world association accept the different Promoters with their diversity in promoting their events and their fightcard. Before the event we have a look on the fightcard before we put it on Sherdog. There we check the fighters and can ask the promoters for additional informations about specific fighters. We have zero tolerance for Fighters which have a right-wing radical background. In Sports no matter if MMA, Soccer or Basketball all athletes should be respected and equal. Only their athletic performance should count and nothing other. There is no place for racism. Therefore we as a global association do not accept fighters, which make racist statements or have such ideologies, which are membership of racist groups or make racially motivated attacks. Therefore we would never work with Promoters which tolerate that kind of Fighters, because it is not right and it is extremely bad for the recognition and reputation of the sport. MMA Fans and professional regulating entities can not be fooled. Say no to racism in Mixed Martial Arts!
